About our Schools

Located 20 miles southwest of Madison, Belleville is a charming village that boasts a strong educational system along with a strong sense of family within the community. For a small city of just under 2,500 people, Belleville offers “big-school” opportunities in a small-school atmosphere. Belleville Elementary School hosts 4K through 1st grade with just over 190 students while the Intermediate School hosts 2nd through 6th grade serving just over 350 students. Our schools provide big-school opportunities in a safe, student-centered, welcoming environment that one would expect in a small town. This is one of the many reasons Belleville was voted one of Madison’s best suburbs!

Cold Tempertures

With frigid arctic air gripping our area, staff members are taking the necessary precautions to keep students safe and warm.  Any time the temperature (including windchill) dips below 0 degrees, students have indoor recess.  Also, students who take the bus home from school line up inside the CH Gym and board when buses arrive for pick up.

Please make sure your children dress appropriately for cold days. Hats, boots, snow pants, warm jackets and gloves or mittens are essential for students to enjoy their time outside.  Additionally, in the event of an emergency, students may not have time to grab winter gear; therefore pants, long sleeves and closed toed shoes are important- especially in times of extreme cold.

School cancellations and delays will be reported on radio stations WIBA (AM 1310), WTSO (AM 1070)  Q106 (FM 106.3) , Z104 (FM 104.1),  WJJO, (FM 94.1) Triple M ( PM 105.5) and on Channel 3, 15, or 27.  You may also sign up to receive text, phone, or email notifications about school cancellations or delays through the Skylert notification system. Please contact your school office if you need assistance with this.
