Belleville Community Leaders read in classrooms across the Elementary and Intermediate Schools on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in efforts to celebrate Read Across America Day, Dr. Seuss's birthday, and the joy of reading. Our thanks to these leaders for taking time to brighten our student's and teacher's day with stories and poetry: Rick Francois, Francois Ford; Pam Emmerich, Belleville Curriculum Director; Officer Bill from the Belleville PD; School Board Members Mike Treder and Elizabeth Lowery, Katie Fox from Kate's Hair Studio, LLC, Librarians Bronna and Holly fom Belleville Public Library, Kyleah McKnight from Union Bank and Trust, Judith Edge from Belleville Hometown Pharmacy and our very own Superintendent, Pam Yoder, from the School District of Belleville.
About our Schools
Located 20 miles southwest of Madison, Belleville is a charming village that boasts a strong educational system along with a strong sense of family within the community. For a small city of just under 2,500 people, Belleville offers “big-school” opportunities in a small-school atmosphere. Belleville Elementary School hosts 4K through 1st grade with just over 190 students while the Intermediate School hosts 2nd through 6th grade serving just over 350 students. Our schools provide big-school opportunities in a safe, student-centered, welcoming environment that one would expect in a small town. This is one of the many reasons Belleville was voted one of Madison’s best suburbs!
